No Eraser

No Eraser

“DEATH” has been scribbled across life’s blackboard.
Fear chills me like a loon’s mad midnight cry.
Loss brands us now like a car keyed or scored.
We don’t really feel we’re ready to die.
Fear chills me like a loon’s mad midnight cry.
We stay up too late to ward off day’s end.
We don’t really feel we’re ready to die.
I hold onto you, my lover and friend.
We stay up too late to ward off day’s end.
We snuggle together for eternity.
You hold onto me, your lover and friend.
We loll about each morning, lazily.
We snuggle together for eternity.
Loss brands us now like a car keyed or scored.
We loll about each morning, lazily.
“DEATH” has been scribbled across life’s blackboard.
